I'm streaking!!! I have run at least ONE MILE. EVERY DAY. That's 3,287 DAYS
Chat GPT told me it was about 6.6 million steps. Which is pretty impressive, if you ask me.
I started a run streak on January 1, 2017. I remember posting on December 31 celebrating my first year and a mediocre white guy my age told me to try to go farther "next year".
Often, when I am out there, I wonder why people feel the need to give unsolicited advice. Someone from the couch. Someone I didn't ask.
Most days I run about a mile. Some days it's longer. Some days I walk a few miles. Some days it's fewer. Some days I do 80 pushups. Some days it is 0.
But I don't miss my run.
I didn't skip when I had food poisoning. I didn't skip when I had COVID. I didn't skip when I had a lumpectomy. I didn't skip when I was in radiation. I didn't skip when it was raining. Or snowing. I didn't skip when the wind would cut my face. I don't skip. I just go.
